Breeding of a New Mulberry Variety Hongguo 2 for Fruit Use

摘要 以桑果高产、优质为目标,采用辐射诱变育种方法培育果用桑树新品种。对广东桑品种伦教408刚萌动的桑芽,以总剂量为0.06~0.08 kGy,剂量率为1 Gy/min的60Co-γ连续照射,然后将处理的桑芽进行单芽嫁接分离,选择形态出现变异的单株连续观察,对花果多的单株进一步培育,最终选育出果用桑树新品种红果2号。多年品种比较试验鉴定和区域试验鉴定中,红果2号的桑果产量分别比对照果桑品种粤椹大10(大10)提高39.33%和31.97%,其果实品质较好,维生素C以及Ca、Fe、Zn的含量极显著高于大10,适合鲜食和加工。红果2号的综合性状优良,是具有推广潜力的果用桑树新品种。 Radiation-induced mutagenesis was employed to breed new mulberry variety with high yield and high quality fruit production.At the onset of bud germination,the sprouts of Lunjiao 408,a variety of Guangdong mulberry,were continuously irradiated by 60Co-γ with a total dose of 0.06~0.08 kGy at the dose rate of 1 Gy/min.The treated shoots and buds were then separated through single bud grafting.The individual plants with morphological variation were selected and observed continuously and the plants bearing more flowers and fruitlets were further cultivated.Finally,a new mulberry variety,Hongguo2,was obtained for fruit use.Results of variety comparative trials in many years and regional trials showed that the fruit production of Hongguo 2 was increased by 39.33% and 31.97% respectively compared with the control variety Yueshenda 10(abbreviated as Da 10).It was also found that Hongguo 2 had better fruit quality.Its contents of vitamin C,Ca,Fe and Zn were extremely significantly higher than those of Da 10,being suitable for both fresh eating and processing.Hongguo 2 has excellent comprehensive traits,being a new mulberry variety with good perspective for further development.
