An Analysis of Food Custom and Culture Connotation of Festivals of Han Nationality in Lanzhou during the Ming and Qing Dynasties

明清时期兰州汉族节日食俗丰富多样,传统色彩浓郁,具有鲜明的地域特色。节日食俗成为烘托节日气氛、凝聚亲情和友情、甚至传承道德礼仪的重要形式,表达了人们酬神祭祖、祈福纳吉、驱邪祛病、喜庆吉祥、团圆美满等美好的愿望与深厚的文化内涵。

The festival food customs of Han Nationality during the Ming and Qing dynasties were an important part of Lanzhou city life. During the mentioned periods, the catering customs of Han Nationality maintained rich va- rieties, connotation and distinct regional characteristics, which not only increased the happiness of festivals but also prompted the harmonious interpersonal relations, morality and condensed unity.
