摘要
隐喻映射理认为隐喻是源域到靶域的一种映射,即通过一种我们熟悉的事物或经历来理解另一种事物的手段。隐喻在语言发展中,特别是词汇方面起着十分重要的作用。翻译就是一次喻化过程。汉语中英语借词的产生很多时候都可以看作是一个寻找"理据"的隐喻映射过程。
The metaphorical mapping theoretically that metaphor is a mapping of the source domain to the target domain. That is to reuse the knowledge about a source domain we have experienced on in order to reason about the target domain. Metaphor plays a big role in language development, especially in lexical sphere. Translation is a metaphor of the process. The ＂borrowing＂ of English in Chinese can be viewed as a mapping process of seeking etymological motivation.
