摘要
鲍德里亚在《生产之镜》中从两方面质疑了历史唯物主义的普适性,甚至,它的适用性:一方面,历史唯物主义追求自身作为资本主义社会的批判理论,却只成为"描述的理论";另一方面,作为一种"描述的理论",它又不能够按照对象的自我理解来描述自然和前资本主义社会。以此,鲍德里亚确证象征比历史唯物主义更优。但是,象征面临的问题是作为描述的理论,它不可能避免对象的审美化。
Jean Baudrillard questioned the universality even the applicability of historical materialism in two aspects in the workThe Mirror of Production.One is that historical materialism tries to be a critical theory for capitalism but just "describes" it.The other is as a "theory of description",it can't describes the nature and pre-capitalist society as they once were.So Baudrillard affirmed that symbol was better that historical materialism.But the problem of his suggestion is that symbol can't avoid aestheticism when it describes.
