The rules of electric vehicle fire were summarized based on fatal fires of electric vehicle in recent years. Statistics results indicated that most fatal fires of electric vehicle were induced by charging process, and the primary reasons and mechanism of theelectric vehicle fire duringcharging process were analyzed. Some technical methodologies were proposed to prevent electric vehicle fire occurred on charging process based on the testing results of electric vehicle chargers on the market.
