The Improvement of the Urban Spatial Quality through Urban Design

论文通过笔者参与的规划与设计实践分析,从融入城市设计的城市规划编制、以适宜街区尺度营造宜居城市的新区规划与设计、注重多样化的已建成城市空间梳理、寻求多元共生的历史环境中的城市设计、运用城市设计手段营造场所感的建筑设计等方面,探讨城市设计的思想与方法如何贯穿从城市规划到建筑设计的各个过程,以城市设计改善和提升城市空间质量。

The article discusses the connected role of the urban design theory and method between urban planning and architecture design in order to improve the spatial quality. It takes the practical cases to study the following aspects such as the intergradation of the urban design into the planning formulation, the suitable scale of the streets for the new district planning, the diversification of the urban space in the complex constructed environment, and the shaping of the urban scenario.
