The technology and effect of laser processing on roll surface in the blooming stands and the roughing stands rolling were introduced, at the same time the high speed steel roll were used in the finishing stands in bar production line. The problems and the solutions of laser processing technology and the high speed steel roll in the practical application in bar production line were summarized. Through the application of new technique of roll in bar production line, the work rate and the quality of product greatly improved.
