住区活动场地是与儿童生活最为密切的场所。现在的孩子们在家庭受到的关注度得到极大的提升,居住条件得到了相当大的改善,但是自由却正在逐渐远离,自然也逐渐从他们的生活中淡出。随着生活水平的提高,育儿观念的发展,儿童成长敏感期这一词汇逐渐融入现代家庭,帮助处于各种敏感期的儿童最大可能地度过这一敏感期,使其快速健康成长是每个家庭的义务,也是社会的责任。但是纵观中国目前的住区,儿童游乐环境却不容乐观,不论是理念还是物质条件上与发达国家相比均存在相当大的差距,住区儿童活动场地的概念亟需更新。
