This paper stresses the importance of device management to the delayed coking unit.Device management involves the good management of management personnel,operators and maintenance personnel,namely and the realization of all-staff participation.Accidents can be avoided through strengthening inspection and training,improving skills,finding out the hidden dangers of the device in time and adopting effective measures.Through technical transformation and innovation,strengthening management and maintenance and creating 'intact device',the operation level of the unit may be improved and the intrinsic safety of the unit may be guaranteed,which may ensure the safe production of the unit.
