The structure of aluminum starch octenylsuccinate and the emulsification mechanism were introduced in the paper.Several formulations of lotion,cream and ointment with aluminum starch octenylsuccinate were listed.The sensory evaluations of each formulation and their respectively blank formulation were tested.The results showed that aluminum starch octenylsuccinate increased the consistency of the system,mitigated greasiness produced by oils and occlusive agents,and improved the aesthetic appeal of the products.
