摘要
太平洋地区充满活力,经济发展很快,前景十分良好,可是各国想法不一,矛盾很大,困难仍然很多。各国要实行和平共处的原则,互相尊重,一律平等,同时,要在平等互利的基础上互通有无,取长补短。如能确实遵循这些原则,太平洋经济合作就有可能克服困难取得进展。
The Pacific region is full of vitality.Economies in many countrieshave been growing rapidly and hold good prospects.However,as there exist dif-ferent views and serious contradictions among countries in the region,conside-rable difficulty remains in regional cooperation.It is imperative for these coun-tries to proceed from the principles of peaceful coexistence,mutual respect andtreating one another on an equal footing.At the same time they should learnfrom one another and supply each other's needs on an equal and mutuallybeneficial basis.If they truly abide by these principles,they will be able toovercome the difficulties and make progress in economic cooperation.
