The definition and classification of sweat syndrome were discussed in this text,which emphasized on the pathogenesis and treatment based on syndrome differentiation of spontaneous sweat and night sweat.A theory was put forward that the night sweat not only attributed to interior heat caused by yin deficiency,but also to the yang deficiency.Two cases have obtained satisfactory therapeutic effect by applying this theory to guide the clinical practice.
