《共产党宣言》阐明了社会主义的本质特征和基本原则,并在十月革命胜利后的社会主义国家中付诸实践。社会主义本质特征和基本原则应该从社会发展规律的角度来把握。在社会主义的具体体制、运行机制的问题上,各国应该根据本国情进行探索,逐步把它说清楚。把社会主义的本质特征和基本原则同它的实现形式区分开来,就可以回答关于社会主义的一系列有争议的问题,例如社会主义与资本主义"趋同"问题,姓"社"姓"资"问题,社会主义不同模式问题等。

＂The Manifesto of the Communist Party＂ expounds the essential characteristics of socialism and basic principles,and after the victory of the October Revolution,it has been put into practice in the socialistic countries.We should grasp the essential characteristics of socialism and basic principles from the laws of social development perspective.In the specific system of socialism and the problem of operation mechanism,each country should explore it according to their own national conditions,and gradually make it clear.By distinguishing the essential features and basic principles from its form of implementation,we can solve such a series of controversial issues about socialism,such as the issues of ＂convergence ＂ of socialism and capitalism,country＇s developing ＂socialism＂ or ＂capitalism＂,different patterns of socialism,etc.
