The Study of Various Social Classes in the Central Plains Immigrated to the Hexi Area and the Relevant Issues after Yong Jia Chaos

河西走廊偏处西北,远离中原,是一个独具特点的自然地理单元,从而使当地在西晋末年避免了兵连祸结的大动乱。后在前凉张氏、西凉李氏等政权的统治下,出现了相对安定的社会局面,这自然成了吸引中原诸社会阶层群体性入迁河西的重要条件,并使河西地区经济、文化在动乱的大背景下仍然保持发展,更为五凉时期河西地区经济的繁荣奠定了基础。

Hexi Corridor was located in the northwest and far away from the central plains. It was a unique territorial unit so that it could avoid the turmoil of wars in the last phase of the Xijin dynasty. Afterwards there was a relatively stable social environment under the rule of the Changs in the former Liang and Lees in Xiliang, which naturally became the important factor that attracted various social classes in the central plains area to immigrate to the Hexi area. Meanwhile, it also brought a great development of economy and culture under the turbulent environment and set a foundation for the economic prosperity in Wuliang period.
