群众工作是党的工作的重要组成部分,是党最大的政治优势。在新的形势下,党的群众工作面临长期执政的考验、干群矛盾的考验、群体性事件的考验等。提高党的群众工作科学化水平,必须深刻把握党的群众工作规律,树立群众工作的"系统、民主、服务、法治"理念,化解社会矛盾,创新社会管理;构建协调党群关系利益新机制;加强执政党自身建设,提升执政党公信力,努力推进党的群众工作方法科学化。
