以湘西少数民族传统体育项目为研究对象,对当前湘西民族传统体育资源进行整理分析。认为湘西地区民族传统体育具有民族性、健身性、趣味性、群众性、简便易学性等特性,具有健身、娱乐、文化教育等功能,并根据湘西地区的实际情况提出传承与发展的策略。
