The author of the present paper analyzes the demand situation for business English talents in foreign trade enterprises in the Pearl River Delta with a purpose of learning about the requirements of the enterprises for business English talents in respects of vocational abilities and comprehensive abilities. The author then puts forward some proposals for the construction of business English major hoping that those proposals will be of some instructive meaning.
