On Multiple Conceptions and Practice of Ideological and Political Theory Education in Colleges and Universities in the New Century

21世纪是人才竞争、科技竞争的世纪,培养有理想、有道德、有文化、有纪律的社会主义事业建设者和接班人,以适应新世纪的挑战,是祖国和人民赋予高校光荣而艰巨的历史使命。当前,摆在我们面前的课题是如何进一步探索出适合高校特点、发挥高校优势,顺应时代要求的思想政治教育工作的有效途径。本文从教书育人的神圣职责、揭示个体社会化的历程真谛和反映高校特有规律三个方面探讨在新的世纪高校思想政治教育的理念与实践。

Competition in the 21st century is mainly on talents, science and technology. Training builders and successors for the socialist cause with faith, morality, education and discipline so as to adapt to the challenge of the new century, is a glorious and arduous historical mission bestowed by the motherland and the people. At present, it is up to us to further ex- plore the effective way of ideological and political education which caters to school characteristics, brings its advantages into full play, and conforms to the demands of the era. This article discusses the conceptions and practice of college ideological and political education in the new century from the sacred duty of imparting knowledge and educating people, from revealing essence of individual socialization process and reflecting the features of colleges.
