舟山群岛新区的建设和发展离不开高级国际化航海类人才的培养。本文从舟山群岛新区建设的人才需求出发,对当前我国航海院校航海类专业英语教学存在的问题进行了具体的分析和总结,并就如何改进航海类专业英语教学,切实提高国际化航运类人才的外语能力提出了相应的策略。

For the construction and development of Zhoushan Archipelago New Area, a number of highly-qualified global shipping talents are in the urgent need. Meanwhile, ＂The White Paper of the Demand of Talents in Zhejiang Zhoushan Archipelago New Area＂ issued by Zhoushan municipal government offers a clear guidance to the training Objective of global shipping talents＇ specialized English competence. Following the guidance of the white paper, this article analyzes the problems existing in current marine English teaching, ranging from the marine English teaching situation, teaching staff, and methods to the teaching contents, aiming at exploring ways of fostering the navigation professionals＇ specialized English competence.
