Architect Intervened into the Society:The design tenet of French ATM Architecture Studio

ATM(L'Afelier d'Architecture Montrouge)是活跃在20世纪.50—70年代法国建筑界的著名事务所,与同时代的现代主义建筑师不同,他们选择了一条"用建造介入社会"的创作道路。随着80年代以后法国城市问题的凸显,ATM对现代主义建筑的批判越发受到重视。本文通过对ATM事务所的发展历程和主要作品的简要介绍,指出其创作理念对今日中国建筑师之启发。

ATM studio was a notable studio that vitalized from 1950s to 1970s in French architecture field.lnstead of performing the same as their contemporary modernism architects, they employed “intervening into the society with architectural building” as their design tenet.With the protruding of French urban problems after 1980s, it gained increasingly attention that ATM studio always held a critique in modernism architecture. Via the general introduction of ATM studio＇ s developing process and masterpieces, this article points out the inspiration from ATM to Chinese architects today.
