多元、共生、和谐,处于自然科学、社会科学、人文科学发展的交汇点上,共同表征着文化在当下的发展形态。多元是自然、文化与个体独立生存的基础,共生是生态系统各部分成长与发展的路径,和谐是事物内部协调与外部平衡的状态。多元是实现共生与和谐的前提与保障,共生是和谐生长的内在机制,和谐是多元与共生追求的目标。在多元共生中走向和谐整生,其普适性的价值内涵,既是生态文明时代的精神主旨,也是当下知识分子乃至全人类的终极追求。

Diversity, symbiosis and harmony are at the junction of the development of natural science, social science and humanities, which all together represent the current state of the development of cultures. Diversity is the foundation on which nature, culture, and individuals live independently; symbiosis is the path of growth and development of each part in the ecological system; harmony is a state of balance in coordinating internal and external elements. Diversity is the premise and guarantee of symbiosis and harmony; symbiosis is the inner mechanism by which harmony grows up; and harmony is the ultimate goal that diversity and symbiosis pursue. The universal value connotation, which is derived from the integrity of diversity, symbiosis and harmony, is the spiritual theme of the ecological civilization as well as the ultimate goal for intellectuals, or even human beings, to pursue.
