明清时期徐州地区慈善事业初探

Exploration to the Philanthropy of Xuzhou Area in the Ming and Qing Dynasties

明清时期是中国古代历史上慈善事业发展最为成熟和完备的时期。在明清国家和地方官员的推动下,明清时期徐州地区出现了众多的慈善机构和慈善设施,其中既有养济院、惠民药局等慈善机构,也有预备仓、常平仓等仓储机构以及育婴堂、清节堂等善堂。这些慈善机构和善堂在救济灾荒、保障民生和维持社会稳定等方面发挥了重要作用。

The philanthropy of Ming and Qing Dynasties is the most mature and comprehensive development period in ancient Chinese history. With the promotion of national and local officials of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, numerous charitable agencies and charitable facilities appeared in Xuzhou area in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, such as YangJiyuan, pharmacy Huimin Drugstore, preparative warehouse and Warehouse of Changping, as well as Yuyingtang and Qingjietang. These charitable agencies and Shan-tang played an important role in the famine relief, and helped to provide the livelihood of the society and maintain social stability.
