摘要
陕西、河北、北京,以及东北等地区,影戏艺人把观世音菩萨作为崇拜祖师,并流传着多种版本的观音祖师传说。文本样态的多样性并非是偶然的结果,它表征着空间地域的特殊语境,并以空间作为特殊的传承系谱,建构着传承路线。同时,由于观音祖师传说流行于北方地区,并在其他一些传说故事中还有关于南北的不同语言表达,如"南海观音"本身的象征与"南蛮识宝"的传说流传,这就构成了关于南北的复杂隐喻。
Avalokitevara (Kuan-yin) is regarded and worshipped as the founder by shadow play practitioners in Shaanxi, Hebei, Beijing and elsewhere, where various versions of the legend of Avalokitevara prevail. The diversity of texts is not incidental, and it indicates the particular register of different space and region; its transmission route is established on the specific genealogy in specific space. The legend is popular in northern regions, while other legendary stories include different linguistic expressions of the north and the south thus constitutes the complex metaphor of cultural differences.
