南朝岭南社会阶级的变动

The Change of Social Classes of Lingnan During the Southern Dynasties

陈寅恪先生在《魏书司马传江东民族条释证及推论》一文中，敏锐地指出，侯景之乱不仅于南朝社会上为巨变，并在江东社会上亦为一划时期之大事，其故即在于所谓岩穴村屯之豪长乃乘此役而起，造成南朝民族及社会阶级之变动。本文从陈先生之说，以岭南土著为例，阐述其在南朝的变化。文中还对陈先生使用阶级一词作了辨释。

In his article, Prof. Chen Yin-ke keenly pointed out that the Rebellion of Hou Jing was not only a great change in the society of the Southern Dynasties, but also a great event in the society of Jiang Dong. Taking advantage of the occasion, the so-called rustic despotic gentry rose, which caused the change of social classes in the Southern Dynasties. Drawing an inspiration from Prof. Chen's remarks, this article is to expound the change of Lingnan original inhabitants at that time. The article also explains the meaning of the term 'class' used by Professor Chen.
