２０世纪社会主义运动最为主要的经验教训：一是必须将马克思主义基本原理与本国实际相结合，既反对“左”倾教条主义，又防止右倾机会主义；二是必须以经济建设为中心，并制定正确的发展战略；三是必须将社会主义社会看成是不断发展的社会，并且将改革具体体制与坚持基本制度统一起来；四是必须实行对外开放，正确认识和对待资本主义。

The most important experience and lessons pf socialist movement in the 20th century are: First, we must combine the basic principles of Marxism with the practice of our country, oppose'Left' doctrinairism and prevent'Right' opportunism. Second, we must make economic construction the center Of ail work on the basis of which we make correct development strategy. Third, we must regard socialist society as a society which develop continuously and unify the reform of concrete systems and the adherence to basic institutions. Fourth, we must open our country to the outside world, during which we must have a correct understanding of capitalism and adopt a proper attitude towards it.
