文章详细介绍了IEEE Std.802.3az-2010Energy-Efficient Ethernet(EEE,高效能以太网)的工作机制:EEE由物理层的LPI协议实现,在LPI模式下,链路两端设备在链路利用率较低时能进入节能状态,并能在切换LPI模式时不改变链路状态、不出现丢帧、切换时间对上层可以忽略不计;EEE同时规定了链路两端设备交换EEE能力和协商EEE参数的机制。
This paper introduces the working mechanism of IEEE Std. 802.3az-2010 Energy-Effi-cient Ethernet: EEE based on LPI protocol of physical layer. Under the LPI mode, the terminal de-vices can get into energy saving state when the utilization rate is low, and also keep the link state sta-ble during the LPI mode switching, no frames losing, and switching time of the upper is negligible. EEE also regulate the exchange of EEE capabilities of both terminal devices, and the mechanism of the EEE parameters negotiating.
