文章简述了美国企业档案馆的起源与发展历程,介绍了美国电话电报公司、IBM公司、福特汽车公司和陶氏化学公司等4家世界知名企业的档案馆建设情况,总结了美国企业档案馆建设的特点及其对中国企业档案馆的启示:应该在竞争中求生存,通过贡献谋地位;确定多元化、综合性的功能定位;以对内服务为主,对外服务为辅;构建丰富多样、具有特色的馆藏档案资源体系。
The article outlines the origins and development history of American corporate archives, describes the basic information of four world famous corporate archives——AT＆T, IBM, Ford Motor and Dow Chemical, and summarizes the characteristics of the development of American corporate archives and enlightenment to Chinese corporate archives： we should survive in competitions, pursuing higher status through contributions; develop the diverse and integrated functions; provide services for internal users, supplemented by services for external users; build a rich, diverse and distinctive archives collection system.
