摘要
作为测试大学英语教学水平的全国性标准考试,大学英语四、六级考试对大学英语教学有着极大的导向作用。然而,其中西方文化内容配置却存在严重的不合理性:西方文化占主导地位,而中国本土文化处于缺失状态。两种文化配置的不平衡严重影响了大学英语文化教学,阻碍了英语学习者获得双文化能力,不利于他们实现成功的跨文化交际。
As standardized national-wide English tests for college students, CET 4 and CET 6 are playing a guiding role in college English teaching. However, western culture holds a predominant position among the cultural elements in CET 4 & 6, while Chinese culture is nearly in the state of absence. The improper configuration of Chinese and western culture in college English tests severely influences culture teaching in colleges and considerablely hinders English learners from getting bi-cultural competence and cross-cultural communication.
