摘要
通过对某高校公共外语学生进行一句话测试和一次英语活动的调查,发现某些学生英语应用能力依然羸弱;又通过一组对学生的学习兴趣、课外学习内容和英语实践活动的调查问卷统计,说明学生的应用能力低下与实践活动不足密切相关。外语学习需要遵循认识运动规律,学习不能替代习得。
By a test and an investigation, this paper sheds light on the fact that in some colleges,most of the non-majors' communicative competence remains far from being satisfac-tory. To find out the reason out of the learners,a questiwas done on their interest in English, our-of-class learning activities and acquisitive activities. The result shows that although the students are working hard at English with considerably keen interest,they have gained little in their productive skills because of their insufficient language practising activities. The fact reinforces the theory that conscious learning results no more than in the increase of cognitive ability,whilst acquisitive activities counts more in developing the communicative competence.
