Hunan is of a historically great culture. It has now been in a new stage of rapid economic increase. It is important to pay attention to cultural building and environmental protection and to lay stress on the unity of economic development, cultural creation, resources protection and environmental improvement.At present our province should take the way of non balanced development and concentrate strength in priority to the construction of first class colleges, kernel cities, main regions and key departments,and reject short term behaviours seeking quick success and instant benefit. Main countermeasures include keeping up our traditional culture, renew our ideology, making our decisions more scientific, fostering our own famous brand products, optimizing the model of our economic growth, and improving our human geographical environment.
