摘要
本文围绕政治性、科学性、知识性与实用性论述了工具书的鉴别与评价问题。认为高质量的工具书应正确体现政治性，总体设计合理，提供知识相对完整而又准确可靠，有较强的释疑解惑功能而又方便检索。
The paper discusses several problems in differentiation and evaluation of reference books in terms of political appropriateness, scientism, knowledge, function. The author holds the view that high- quality reference books should embody political appropriateness and a well-structured layout. The informa- tion provided in such reference books is remarkably adequate, accurate and reliable. With a greater capacity of answering questions and solving problems, it also brings convenience to retrieval.
