群众路线既是马克思主义历史唯物论的基本观点和基本原理 ,也是我们党实现其思想路线、政治路线和组织路线的根本工作路线。因此 ,尽管市场具有主体性、竞争性等特征 ,市场对社会资源的配置有着基础性的作用 ,市场能激励和调节经济的活动 ,在发展社会主义市场经济的过程中 ,我们仍然需要坚持群众路线。

The mass line is not only the basic standpoint and principle of Marxist historical materialism, but also the essential working line by which our communist Party realizes its ideological Political and organizational line. Therefore, although market economy has the Characteristics being dominant and competitive, it has the fundamental function for the disposition of the Social resources. Market can stimulate and adjust economical movement. In the process of developing Socialist market economy, we still need to uphold the mass line.
