摘要
对英语学习者进行英文词词汇联想测量结果表明,低年级大学生对高、低熟悉性词产生的派生词联想均显著多于屈折词;研究生的联想结果中屈折词的数量显著高于低年级大学生。因此,低年级大学生在很大程度上依据词的形态特征来组织英语词汇;英语学习者随着英语水平的提高,母语的负迁移程度减弱。
A word association study reveals that low proficiency Chinese learners of English produce more derived words than inflected words for both high and low frequency words.Students who have high proficiency in English produce more inflected words than low-proficiency learners.The results suggest that low proficiency learners rely more on morphological information to construct their English lexemes and that the negative mother tongue transfer diminishes as the learners’ proficiency improves.
