Dong-Cao-Gou Ag-Pb polymetallic mine in the westem Henan is a part of the Xiong-Er-Shan Ag-Au polymetallic mineralizing belt. Ag-Pb deposits in the districts of Tie-Lu-Ping, Hao-Ping-Gou and Sha-Gou-Xi had been found in this belt before the Dong-Cao-Gou mine was found. Based on a comprehensive analysis of the geological background, deposit characters and ore-controlling factors of the Dong-Cao-Gou Ag-Pb polymetallie mine, the orientation and target for ore pros- pecting in the mine are clarified.
