The book, the Record of the Female Fairies in Yong City, written by Du Guangting, a famous scholar on Daoism in the late Tang and the Five dynasties, collected stories about more than thirty female fairies from Han-Wei dynasties. These beautiful and eternal female fairies are the essential representatives of the Daoism, and the important emissary to pass on scriptures of Daoism in the secular world as well. The worshipful and divine position of these female fairies, reflects the unique and equal viewpoint on female in Daoism, and is of great importance in studying its literature and society values.
