儒家伦理是“角色伦理”吗?

安乐哲等西方汉学家看到了儒家伦理所具有的独特性,不主张用德性伦理学等西方传统的范畴定位儒家伦理思想的性质,而是以实用主义和过程哲学为基础,将儒家伦理命名为"角色伦理学"。这一思路是具有启发意义的,然而却并不能准确描述儒家伦理的性质,这样既不符合儒家伦理对道德主体的理解,还有使儒家伦理陷入非普遍化的外在规范的危险。

Having noticed the uniqueness of Confucian ethics,some western Sinologists such as Roger T.Ames don't advocate describing the nature of Confucian ethics as virtue ethics or other western traditional categories.Based on the theories of pragmatism and process philosophy,they named Confucian ethics as role ethics.This idea is revealing,but it does not accurately describe the nature of Confucian ethics,because it isn't in conformity with the understanding of the moral subjects in Confucian ethics,and it can make Confucian ethics in the risk that ethical rules will become external norms.
