校长筹资与大学权益诉求——以20世纪20年代的北京大学为考察中心

Principal Fund-Raising and University Rights and Interests Pursuit

1920-1927年间,北京大学校长在推进北京大学的发展中遭遇经费支绌的困境。校长运用个人的社会影响力拓展经济来源,充分挖掘社会资本,同时不断地通过"上呈文"与"辞职"等方式试图影响和制衡政府干扰教育的违法行为。期间,校长还得到了校内教职员及学生的支持与援助。虽因其努力推动北京大学的发展,但终究实力悬殊,难以维护北京大学的权益。

In 1920-1927, the presidents of Peking University suffered the plight of the funding support deficit in the development of Peking University. Presidents＇ personal social influence expanded economic resources from social capital, while they intended to influence and balance all the illegal acts of the state power by submission and resignation. In that period, presidents also received the support and assistance of the staff and students. Though their efforts promoted the development of Peking University, by the reason of the disparity of power, it was difficult to protect the rights and interests of Peking University in the end.
