A Textual Research on Ma Ting-xi and His Family of Wang Yang-ming's Second Generation Disciple in Guizhou in Ming Dynasty

马廷锡是王阳明在贵州著名的黔中王门再传弟子,其心学之传得于当年王阳明在黔中的及门弟子蒋信。马廷锡的心学活动涉及贵州、四川、湖南三省,早年问学求道、任官行道,中晚年广交王门后学,在贵阳讲学长达三十余年之久,继王阳明、蒋信之后,在贵州掀起第三次心学讲学高潮,将黔中王门推进到成熟阶段。马廷锡及其子、孙三辈均有功于阳明心学。马氏家族不愧是黔中王门著名的心学世家。

Ma Ting - xi is a well known researcher of Wang Yang - ming＇ s second generation disciples and his philoso- phy of the mind is derived from Jiang xi who is Wang Yang - ruing＇ s first generation disciple when Wang was exiled in Guizhou （1508 - 1510）. Ma Ting -xi made his reseach activities in Guizhou, Sichuan and Hunan, including his study in young, being an official and making friends with in Wang Yang - ruing＇ s school during his middle and old age. He has taught in Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou, for more than thirty years, which is the third climax after Wang Yang - ming and Jiang xin＇ s teaching movement in Guizhou. Therefor, Wang Yang - ming＇ s school in Guizhou reachs its matu- rity stage. Because of Ma Ting - xi and his sons as well as grandsons having deserved well of Wang Yang - ruing＇ s phi- losophy of the mind, Ma＇ s family is one of famous Wang Yang - ming＇ s philosophy of the mind familis in Guizhou in Ming dynasty.
