With the change in international situation and the rise of its comprehensive national strength,India has made several adjustments to its South China Sea policy,including expansion of its military influence in the South China Sea area,reinforcement of cooperation with ASEAN countries and promotion of relations with the U.S.and Japan.These adjustments are not only determined by internal logics of its own development but also pushed by its strong great power mentality and strategic pursuit.Although India in establishing its South China Sea policy may cater to the global strategie deployment of the U.S.in realizing its strategic objectives in the Asia Pacific area,it will sill maintain some independence to maximally keep its great power strategic pursuits and security interests.
