英文报刊具有出新词、赋予常用词新的含义、采用一般现在时、常使用被动语态、引用名人名言独特的特点,而高校学生也具有其学习的特点。因此,大学英语教师应结合两者的特点,利用英文报刊的教学模式和方法对学生进行英语教学和训练,用以丰富英语教学方式,激发学生学习兴趣,同时是学生了解最前沿的科技和文化信息,丰富知识。

English newspaper is characterized by using new words, conferring new conception to words, employing often simple present tense and passive voice and introducing famous quotations. Meanwhile, students in universities and colleges have their own learning characteristics. Therefore, teachers should make the most of teaching mode and method to teach and train students, employing rich teaching methods to stimulate students as well as make students know the latest technology and cultural information to enrich students＇ knowledge.
