English graduation thesis, as a crucial part of English teaching, is an important means to examine students＇ comprehensive abilities and academic performance. It is also a significant measure of the English undergraduate teaching level. In recent years, however, the overall quality of English thesis writing has not been increased much with the reinforcement of English teaching reform and the improvement of thesis tutors. Some common problems still exist which more or less reflect some drawbacks in English undergraduate teaching. Clear understanding of these issues may help to improve English undergraduate teaching.
