This paper attempts to study the multimodal discourse from reception aesthetics,expecting to expand its research horizon.It points out that the main views of reception aesthetics,such as reader-centered view,indeterminateness of text and horizon of expectations,can make guidance to the research of multimodal discourse and provide enlightenment to the design of multimodal discourse,the multiliteracies of readers and the comprehension of multimodal discourse.
