About the Problem of How to Treat Zhiyanzhai's Commentary Comprehensively,Dialectically and Scientifically——A Response to Mr.Yu Pingbo's Second Introspection in the Study of A Dream of Red Mansions in His Later Life

回应俞平伯先生晚年关于红学研究乱象的自省是目前红学研究一个不容回避的话题。其中,对脂批应该全面、辩证、科学地看。研究脂批,应该研究全部的脂批,并且要作综合分析,而不是片面强调某一部分。脂批"打架"现象证明脂批可能是假的。脂批即使是真,也不能把脂砚斋的批语作为研究《红楼梦》的根据和起点,红学研究应从脂批中走出来。

To response to Yu Pingbo＇s introspection towards the chaos of the study of A Dream of Red Mansions in his later life is one of the unavoidable topics in the study of A Dream of Red Mansions. For Zhiyanzhai＇s commentary, we should treat it comprehensively, dialectically and scientifically; and we should study Zhiyanzhai＇s commentary completely and make comprehensive analysis instead of unduly emphasis. The ＂fighting＂ phenomenon of several versions of Zhiyanzhai＇s commentary indicates that they may be fakes. Even though it is true, we should not let it be the ground and starting point of the study of A Dream of Red Mansions. The study of A Dream of Red Mansion should get rid of its affects.
