摘要
本文首先提出了企业社会资本的概念。作者认为 ,企业通过纵向联系、横向联系和社会联系涉取稀缺资源的能力是一种社会资本。作者的理论假设是 ,一个企业社会资本量的大小 ,受经济结构和企业家能动性两大要素影响 ;社会资本对企业的经营能力和经济效益有直接的提升作用。对于 1 998年广州市 1 88家企业调查的数据分析证明了上述假设。在实证分析的基础上 ,作者还探讨了当前中国企业社会资本的测量 ,对社会资本变异的理论解释和统计证明 。
The authors argue that the ability of an economic enterprise to gain access to scarce resources through its hierarchical, horizontal, and social connections constitutes its social capital. The authors suggest that an enterprise's social capital is determined by the economic structure and the entrepreneurs' initiatives, and that social capital improves an enterprise's capacity to develop its business and thus enhances its economic efficiency. These hypotheses are supported by a 1998 survey of 188 enterprises in Guangzhou. Based on the data obtained from this survey, the authors discuss the measurement of the social capital of enterprises in contemporary China, provide a theoretical explanation, and a statistical demonstration of the variations in social capital, the relationship between social capital and enterprise networks, the relationship between social capital and corruption, and the practical significance of research on enterprises' social capital.
