Macroscopic Investigation of the Chinese Dragon Culture

在当代文化研究的热潮中,学术理论界把龙的相关问题统称为龙文化。从宏观的视角,以学术研究的立场,对龙文化进行整体性与综合性的考察。龙文化的内涵主要表现在八个大的问题上,或者称为八类文化,即图腾文化、祖根文化、天象文化、利生文化、皇权文化、祥瑞文化、民俗文化、英雄文化。

In the study of contemporary culture, issues concerned with dragon as a whole are theoretically known as the Dragon culture. An overall and comprehensive investigation of dragon culture should be made from a macroscopic point of view, with the academic position. Dragon culture is mainly reflected in eight aspects, or known as the eight kind of culture, i.e. the totem culture, ancestral roots culture, planetarium culture, life benefit culture, imperial culture, auspicious culture, folk culture, and hero culture.
