Xi Jinping Talks with Foreign Experts

2012年12月5日下午，北京人民大会堂迎来了一批特殊的客人一一来自美国、俄罗斯等16个国家的20位在华工作的优秀外国专家代表。在工作人员引导下，他们来到福建厅，和习近平总书记进行了长达一个半小时的座谈交流。

On December 5, Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, had a conversation with 20 foreign experts who work in China. It is Xi’s first meeting with foreign guests since he was elected general secretary of the CPC Central Committee. Xi wanted to convey China’s foreign policies and friendship through in a different format from talks with foreign leaders. Xi attaches great importance to the contribution that foreign experts have made to China’s exchange and cooperation with other countries.
