历史的遗风和特定时代的生活要求,决定了古希腊人对身体的力量和身体的美有一种特别的推崇和看重。这种推崇和看重,尤其表现在雕刻艺术的作品中。对于希腊人的这种身体崇拜意识,黑格尔和丹纳都曾有做出过自己的解释。深刻领会黑格尔和丹纳的相关论说,是我们把握古希腊雕刻艺术和身体崇拜意识之关系的必经环节。
The historical customs and the life requirement in the specific times determine that the ancient Greeks specially respects and values strength and beauty of the body. Such respect and value are embodied in the works of sculpture art. For the Greeks＇ body worship consciousness, Hegel and Taine have made their own inter- pretation. A profound understanding of Hegel＇ s and Taine＇ s discussions about it is a necessary link to grasp the relationship between ancient Greeks＇ sculpture art and body worship consciousness.
