On Poem Style of TAO Yuan-ming of Shiyuanbianti

许学夷《诗源辩体》认为陶渊明诗歌的巨大成就在于其高度的原创性,也在于其写意性,在于其真率自然,在于其理胜气足;陶渊明、谢灵运虽然各臻其妙,但陶诗高于谢诗;陶诗对后世影响深巨,许多著名诗人学陶仅得其一。《诗源辩体》关于陶诗的许多研究在当时推陈出新,独到深刻,个别论点今人仍未超越。

XU Xue-yi thought, in his hook of Shlyuanbainti, that the great achievement of TAO Yuan-ming＇s poems is its height of original creation, and also its freehand brushwork, the sincere and natural and the richness of truth. Though they have their own advantages and characteristic in poem writing, but TAO Yuan-ming＇s poem is higher than that of XIE Ling-yun. TAO Yuan-ming has great influence on the succeeding generations. Many famous poets have only learned a slice of accomplishments from TAO Yuanming＇s poems. The research about Tao Yuanming＇s poems in the book of Shiyuanbianti has found something new in what is old, and the research is unique and deep and the viewpoint is still not beyond today.
