一百多年以来,马克思主义在中国的发展经历了历史性飞跃。尽管世界多极和多元格局的形成造成当代社会经济文化呈现出多方向发展的新趋势,但并没有改变世界范围内意识形态斗争的实质。坚持马克思主义在中国不仅是必要的,也是完全可能的,它仍是发展中国特色社会主义理论的根本。我们应当在保持社会意识多元化的同时防范各种不正确或别具用心的理论模式,始终强调马克思主义的一元指导思想,从而为中国特色社会主义事业提供坚强的理论基础和强大的精神支撑。

Marxism has experienced a historic development since its introduction to China over 100 years ago. Although the world＇s multi-polar and multivariate pattern has caused a new development tendency growing trend, in which contemporary social economy and culture show various directions, it does not change the core of ideology struggle worldwide. Uphold the Marxism in China is not only necessary, but also possible. It is fundamental to the development of the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics. We should guard against theories inappropriate or with ulterior motives when trying also to maintain diversity in ideology. We should lay emphasis on Marxism as our guideline, which provides a strong theoretical foundation and spiritual support for the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
