社会主义文化强国就是社会主义核心价值体系建设深入人心,公民道德素质全面提高,人民精神文化生活丰富,我国文化整体实力和竞争力强。扎实推进社会主义文化强国建设是全面贯彻落实十八大精神、推进中国特色社会主义与全面建成小康社会、解决当前社会主义文化建设中突出问题、不断满足人民群众日益增长的精神文化需求、实现中华民族伟大复兴、有效避免西方文化霸权增强文化整体实力和竞争力的需要。要扎实推进社会主义文化强国建设就要以更加积极主动的心态把握好扎实推进社会主义文化强国建设的总体要求、以更加务实的行动落实好扎实推进社会主义文化强国建设的基本任务、以更加扎实有力的措施践行好扎实推进社会主义文化强国建设的奋斗目标。

A Strong Socialist cultural power involves the socialist core values deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, all--round improvement of citizens＇ moral cultivation, enrichment of people＇s spiritual and cultural life, and enhancement of our cultural integrated power and competitiveness. Strengthening of the construction of a strong socialist cultural power is in line with the comprehensive implementation of the 18^th CPC National Congress principles, further enhancement of the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics and striving to complete the building of a moderately prosperous society in all aspects, solving the serious problems in the construction of socialist cultrue at present, steadily meeting the peoples＇ spiritual and cultural demands, realizing the rejuvenation goal of the Chinese nationality, effectively offsetting the hegemony of the western culture, and toning up the integrated power and competitiveness of our culture. To strengthen the construction of a strong socialist cultural power, we have to fully comperhend the general requirements of pushing forward the building of a strong socialist cultural power with a positive and proactive attitude, strive to put into action the fundamental tasks of cultural building with more enthusiasm and pragmaticism, and take more practical measures to realize the goal of building a strong socialist cultural power.
